Tim Staump is a musician, producer, songwriter and musical entrepreneur, the owner of Staump Music School and CEO of Staump Productions. Already well known as a skilled and versatile drummer, his expertise extends to the fields of concert promotion, engineering and music production, and he remains an active performer both in the studio and on stage. His background includes having studied under such legendary drummers as Zoro, Mark Schulman, Daniel Glass and Bruce Becker, and based on his impassioned approach and commitment to percussive studies, he has become a respected music educator and member of the Vic Firth education team. Some of the artists that Tim works with include San Diego singer-songwriters Marissa Rose and Rachel Bradford, and he can often be seen performing throughout Southern California with cover band Warehouse Six. Founding the Staump Music School in 2008 was a way for Tim to sustain his passion for enriching the lives of others through music, becoming an advocate for musical education through alternate means while providing independent musicians and children of all ages with quality and affordable music education, studio services and mentorship. In addition, he is the drumline teacher at Greenfield Middle School, and sits on the board of the Santee Chamber of Commerce.
