Tim Staump is a drummer and visionary entrepreneur. Tim is the founder
and CEO of Staump Productions LLC. He is an endorsed Vic Firth educator,
and has a great passion for music education. Tim has been teaching drum
lessons for over ten years, and has taught the drums lines for
Greenfield Middle School, Granite Hills High School, El Cajon High
School, Hoover High School, El Capitan High School, Centennial High
School, and Liberty High School. He has studied with James Morton, Zoro
the Drummer, Mark Schulman and Daniel Glass. Tim's students learn the
importance of basic rudiments and how to apply them behind a kit.
Lessons will include performance opportunities, recording experience,
and jam sessions with fellow students and teachers. He teaches all
genres of music, and will instruct anyone interested in learning the
drums, whether a beginner or a more advanced player. He created the
social networking site Staump.com, which features thousands of
independent musicians from around the globe. He has performed for many
corporate gigs and musicals, and is the drummer for The Maria Staump
Band. Tim is currently the producer, engineer, and drummer for the
upcoming album by the Maria Staump Band due to release in 2011. He has
recorded San Diego bands and artists including Without Papers,
Yuittrium, Maria Staump, The WordSmiths, and A Dull Science. Tim is the
founder and CEO of Staump Productions LLC. Through his company he has
created Staump Music School, which provides quality music instruction
for all ages. Staump Productions LLC has recently expanded to a 2200
square foot facility dedicated to music education. Tim plans on
continuing the exciting growth of his company by using this facility to
record, perform, rehearse, and enhance his innovative teaching
techniques.
